May 2010- Millions Against Malaria Launch
In May 2010 Ken Evers & Tim Pryse commenced their flight around the world on the first Australian commercially manufactured aircraft to ever circumnavigate the globe! Throughout their flight, their goal is to raise $1,000,000 for raising awareness about malaria. Funds raised will be used by AFAP to run a program in PNG.

February 2010- MSS working bee
AFAP held a Medical Supplies and Services (MSS) Working Bee on Saturday 27 February 2010 to assist with the loading for a shipment for Timor Leste.

November 2009- Glebe Street Fair
On Sunday 15 November 2009 AFAP displayed a stall at the Glebe Street Fair, one of the oldest street fairs in Sydney. AFAP had the opportunity to inform our local community of the work that we do and give people the chance to participate.
October 2009- Lane Cove Village Fair
On 11 October 2009 AFAP displayed a stall at the Lane Cove Village Fair. The day was an important opportunity for AFAP to show and communicate its achievements in helping disadvantaged communities in developing countries.
August 2009- Judy Small and Annalisa Kerrigan Concert for AFAP
On Saturday 1st August 2009 Judy Small and Annalisa Kerrigan performed together at the Gaelic Theatre in Surry Hills in a concert for AFAP. A big 'Thank You' to everyone who has supported the event.
July to September 2009- Timor Aid and Alola Foundation Exhibition in Timor Leste
Two of our partner organizations committed to the work of re-building Timor Leste- Timor Aid and Alola Foundation - have, since those earliest days of independence, sought to collect together pieces of the textile art, that is one of Timor-Leste's proudest and most enduring cultural traditions. . The exhibition of these pieces represents the first public showing of these collections, and it has been displayed from July to September 2009, as part of the celebrations for Timor's 10-year independence.

June 2009- Bird photos exhibition
AFAP and Bird Explorers have organised an exhibition in Hanoi to celebrate World Environment Day (5 June 2009) and promote environmental sustainability in key forest and coastal areas in Viet Nam.
The exhibition displays 45 photographs taken by Bird Explorers photographers, Kevin Vang and Wojciech Dabrowka from 2003 to 2008. Click here to find out more
January/ February 2009- MSS working bee
A group of over 20 volunteers joined the Medical Supplies and Services (MSS) Working Bee on Saturday 31 January and Sunday 1 February 2009 to assist with the loading for the cancer wing in the Colombo National Hospital in Sri Lanka.
December 2008- Manly Golf Day
Our India Program Manager Mr George Wells delivered a speech at the Manly Golf Day fundraising event organised by the CorriLee Foundation.
November 2008- Annual General Meeting
AFAP held its Annual General Meeting on 27 November 2008. For our members, it has been a great opportunity to get to know better our work in developing countries, the programs we run in 2008 and those planned for 2009.
September 2008- Community Partnership Workshop
AFAP organised its second Community Partnership Workshop for current and prospective Community Partners. During the workshop, AFAP staff presented on topics such as the functioning of the Community Partner Service and theories on effective development aid and its practical implications.
Mr Bob McMullan, Parliamentary Secretary for International Development, and Ms Zoe Mander-Jones from AusAID were among the guest speakers.
August 2008- Macquarie University Sustainability Fair
In August 2008 AFAP joined Macquarie University's first Sustainability Fair.
The fair was successful in raising awareness about sustainability issues through sustainability-themed market stalls, entertainment and guest speakers.
