Internally Displaced Person (IDP) Resettlement Program

This project was developed to aid the voluntary and dignified return of 1,960 IDPs who fled during conflict in the Guadalcanal. Under the program, approximately 1,900 IDPs voluntarily returned to their home villages in a dignified manner. Subsequent assessments show that they were able to return safely and resume normal activities, and returnee communities and their former adversaries were co-existing peacefully.
