Community-Based Population and Environment Funding

By providing small grants to community groups and small NGOs for population and environment-based projects, this program acts as an incentive for self-determination and encourages ownership of project activities and outcomes. Throughout implementation, community members learn project management skills and reporting procedures, which are important foundations for future projects. Up to now, approximately 50 small grant proposals have been funded through this scheme.
