Tais is the much-admired traditional weaving of Timor Leste and this program in aiming to preserve this unique art. The program is documenting the traditional textile technology and patterns, training women to produce the genuine hand-woven textile and adapting it for international markets while also promoting it for local use. The program has also developed as well as developing a business and marketing strategy for the craft.
