AFAP has worked in Viet Nam for 16 years developing a successful and effective model for integrated rural development that is recognised as benchmark methodology. Integrated Rural Development programs work to alleviate poverty and improve community living standards. These programs integrate the areas of environmental awareness, agriculture, health and micro credit with a focus on capacity building in an effort to break the cycle of poverty in the short term and build the long-term capacity of communities for sustainable economic and social development.
