One of AFAP's goals is to provide vulnerable communities with the tools and training they need to become self-sustaining in the long-term. To accomplish this, AFAP and its partners run a series of projects to train and build capacity in income generation, food security and poverty reduction. These programs include training on better agricultural techniques, promotion of traditional handicrafts for sale in both local and international markets, tourism workshops and other innovative programs.
By providing the means and the confidence they need to succeed on their own, our work supports the people of African, Asian and Pacific Island countries in their desire to take charge of their own livelihoods and destinies.
